Abstract

Small scale industries play a very vital role in the national economy. They help in generating employment with minimum possible investment. Article 39 of the Indian Constitution mandates that state shall direct its policy forward securing (a)&(b) that the ownership and control of the national resources of the community are so distributed as best to sub-serve the common goods. Midnapore district as a whole is the largest district in West Bengal. Its population is also high but the employment scope is very poor.
