In today’s day and age, the extensive application of E-commerce technology and the continuous upgrading of the consumption model have made online shopping an indispensable part of our lives. To gain breakthroughs and market opportunities, traditional retailers have opened up online retailing. However, with the adjustment of urban industrial layout and the increasing diversification of urban industry and commercial development model, the urban distribution has presented characteristics of multiple varieties, small batches, and high frequency. To meet the various delivery requirements of customers, many E-commerce companies have launched a series of logistic services. This has just made the traditional retailers’ business harder. Retail companies are slowing down now more than ever. The one thing which can be noted down here is that the reasons behind traditional businesses being slowed down isnot one, it can be seen that they are unaware, as in they havenot tapped into their real potential, with the times changing. With growing number of internet users, varied offers across e-commerce platforms helps the consumer have a better shopping experience. This level of awareness, if created properly amongst the traditional businesses, may help boost their business. Hence, there is a need for a platform for traditional retailers to help them to grow their business which would in a long run help them.
Babita BhagatShefali JoshiSukhada KamtikarGirish Korade2021-06-112021-06-118The Probability Model of Customer Retention with Measuring Customers’ Satisfactions

Customer retention rate is an important topic in E-commerce when company hopes to keep the profit from the active customers by marketing programs. This study constructs a probability model to consider customer retention, follows Weibull distribution and is influenced by their satisfaction which is considered as a parameter on retention probability density function. A Bayesian form is formulated by calculating marginal density of customer retention. This probability model can predict how much time customer will retention in the future and its ratio of probability. An empirical data is conducted to estimate the parameters of the proposed model. The results of proposed model are compared to the previous research for model calibration. Finally, the conclusion is made for business applications. The results can reveal some cues that customer’s retention tendency and can be made as a reference for managers to revise or adjust E-commerce strategies to achieve the customers’ satisfaction.
Hui-Hsin Huang2021-06-112021-06-118Impact of COVID-19 on Indian Economy

https://computers.stmjournals.com/index.php?journal=ECFT&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=2709

Customer segmentation is grouping customers based on similarities so companies can approach each group for marketing effectively and appropriately. Customer segmentation is important for enhancing customer centric business for gaining retention among customers by campaigning them using better marketing strategies, causing more institutional benefit. This paper segments customers by analyzing their characteristics based on both demographic and behavioral attributes using K-Means clustering algorithm and Self-Organizing Maps (SOM). K-Means is a partitioning clustering algorithm which uses centroid based approach to provide promising clustering results with Davies Bouldin score of - 1.632 in 16 seconds. Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) provides easy visualization by reducing dimensionality. This paper combines both algorithmic features by re-clustering the cluster formed from SOM and K-Means algorithm. Experimentation in Rapid Miner and python shows improved results with more number of clusters. The Davies Bouldin score is estimated to be-1.702 and the execution time is 4 seconds.
M. NivethaA. These spam reviews in turn mislead decision of customers. Sometime users blame the e-commerce site instead of manufacturer of product. Thus, we are proposing the system which does not allow fake reviews and we apply sentiment analysis (SA) to bifurcate the genuine reviews either as positive or negative.
