Abstract

MANET is a dynamic, decentralized and infrastructure-less network. Any node can link the network and go away from the network at any point of time. In MANET, there is no infrastructure therefore every node acts as a host and router. They are related to each other via peer-to-peer network. Decentralized means there is nothing like client and server. Each and every node acts like a client and a server. Each node acts as a server and a patron. Due to the dynamic nature of MANET, it is more prone to attacks. Since any node can join or leave the network without permission, the safety troubles are more difficult than other types of networks. One of the major safety issues in ad hoc networks is mentioned as the black hole trouble. It takes place when a malicious node is mentioned as black hole link the network. The black hole conducts its malicious behavior in the course of the manner of route discovery.
