Survey on Short-range Wireless Networking Technologies

Abstract


Short-range wireless technologies are being widely used in lot many applications such as communications, entertainment, medical and battle fields etc. For short-range communications, networks have been standardized by IEEE 802.11 WLANs and IEEE 802.15 WPANs with low power consumption. This paper surveys these networking technologies and compares them.
