Research Issues in UMTS-WLAN Interworking: A Survey

Interworking between Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) actualize the dream of achieving growing demand for high speed data access at anytime, anywhere. From user’s viewpoint, key features of this NGWN include high bandwidth, low latency, ubiquitous coverage etc. Paper presents a survey on the research issues in UMTS-WLAN interworking.
