IoT Based Color Product Sorting Machine
Abstract
This is the time of globalization and we here tend to solve the problem for mainly packaging industries as well as the supermarkets. Everyday tons of fruits, vegetables, and many different packets of foods are supplied to big supermarkets, malls etc. Usually people working there sort these product based different color, texture, shape etc. Here we are trying to solve their hardship by technology such as product sorting based on their color. It can be used in candy, fruit, vegetable sorting etc. In candy, fruit and vegetable industry sorting is a tedious task. Manual sorting leads to inconsistencies and is a time consuming process. This paper focuses on image processing and IoT application in order to sort, control and monitor the process. Thus, making the system automatic, reliable and efficient. The system uses image processing techniques to identify and sort items on the basis of color into different bins. Using IoT the system is made fully automated since it maintains the database of items to be sorted and keeps track of the same.
