Watermarking Analysis of Digital Image Using Various Approaches: A Review

Saira Baghel, Abhilash Mishra

Abstract

Abstract

For present security to the digital media on the net the very beneficial generation is, virtual watermarking (DW). Watermark is an image or pattern in document which is used to identify data authentication and data integrity. The user can check the watermarked records with the watermark key and watermarking extraction system. The different techniques of watermarking reviewed in this paper are: least significant bit (LSB), robust, discrete cosine transform (DCT), spatial domain (SD), frequency domain (FD), blind and non-blind, spread spectrum (SS). Out of these techniques, DCT, spatial and frequency based techniques are more efficient. These provide more refined images with less effort and are more secure and robust as compared with other techniques.

Keywords: Digital watermarking, LSB watermarking, robust watermarking, DCT-based watermarking, spatial domain, frequency domain, blind and non-blind, spread spectrum watermarking
