Assessment on Different Routing Strategies in Delay Tolerance Networks

Dipti Goel

Abstract

ONs(Opportunistic Networks) are designed for disaster areas where sender and receiver are not formed direct in range to transfer messages. For this, ON provides intermediate nodes connectivity that uses store-carry and forward mechanism to transfer messages between nodes. ON provides number of routing techniques which help nodes to send messages between them efficiently. These routing techniques are Epidemic, Spray and Wait, Prophet and many more. In this paper analysis, different routing techniques with their features and drawbacks have been presented.
