Abstract

Abstract

Image enhancement is a technique to increase the brightness of an image. It is also referred to as improving the quality of an image. In this paper, author discussed about the implementation of enhancement techniques like histogram stretching and histogram equalization. The implementation is done using MATLAB by designing an Image Enhancement based GUI prototype. The proposed GUI also supports the extraction of alphabetical and numerical character by using Optical Character Reorganization (OCR) technique.
