Abstract
Gait recognition system is one of major security concerns for moving objects in biometric authentication. In this paper, various edge detection techniques for converting a gait image into edge image for recognition purpose are discussed. It is also useful for efficient image segmentation. Efficient Image segmentation technique plays an important role for improving recognition rate as well as recognition time. This survey work is helpful for making an efficient gait recognition system in terms of recognition rate and recognition time.
