New Trends in Libraries and Make Over of the Traditional Libraries in 21st Century

Library word means that a place where books and other publishing materials can be stored in racks or shelves, which can be accessed by the readers and research scholars for their reference. However, in the 21st century, information technology has influenced all developing countries. India has also been influenced by information technology and it’s on the way to become an IT super power soon. The 21st Century is also known as digitalized century. Digitalization can completely change the environment of education and inventions growth. Therefore, research scholars and users demand and needs are completely changed. Now, they demand all updated information related to all subjects and research without wasting any time. In past years, subjects and research areas were limited but now, there are no limits and boundaries. Therefore, their demand and need are completely correct. Time is so valuable and research scholars have time limitation. In the 21st century, education is characterized by digitalized, indexed online access to content. So, the research scholars and other users want to access information online. Now the research scholar asks new questions and they are developing new methodological approaches and intellectual strategies. Now we need to change traditional libraries and need to adopt new trends in our libraries by giving a new look to our traditional libraries. Library automation and some other new trends and techniques have entered in libraries. Today there are many types of software related to library and they can really be helpful to convert traditional libraries according to the 21st century libraries and create technically sound environment. Now it’s the time to change and create new technical environment in our libraries with full facilities and advanced technology.
