In today’s world the areas in the range of the dam site are feared by the disaster “Floods”. It would be profuse for the areas prone to floods if they are informed well in advance about the calamity so they could prevent losses. An android application could be built which could predict floods based on present weather conditions and also forecasting conditions. Also, in case of emergency the worker has to rush at the dam site to open/close the gates. This also could be done by the application in which the worker could automate the gates through the android application instead of panicking to the dam site. This could prevent catastrophic problems such as dam bursting in case of heavy rains. The present website which is in service of the task of looking after the dam related information only gives the static data related to dam and has no provision to control dam gates remotely. Also the website has no provision of forecasting floods.
