Use of E-Journals in Engineering College Libraries Located in IT-Highway, Chennai

ABSTRACT
This paper discusses use of e-journals in the engineering colleges located in IT-Highway, Chennai. The data were collected from the respondents by using a structured questionnaire. Now a day’s e-journals give many chances to users that not much available predecessor. Since the enormous potential of e-journals, not only research institutions academic institutions are also using their purpose. Questionnaire-based survey method has been used with undergraduate, postgraduate, and faculty of engineering college libraries for getting outcomes of usage of e-journals. The aim of this paper is to find out the height of responsiveness and use of e-journals by the engineering college users. The study exposes that right now the tendency of users’ is changing towards electronic format but the rate is very slow. A few suggestions are also specified to get better the use of electronic journals.
