Energy Efficient Routing Protocols for Wireless Sensor Network

Abstract
To route data efficiently from source to destination is one of the stimulating jobs in wireless sensor network. And also in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) due to increasing demand for real-time applications has made the Quality of Service (QoS) based communication protocols become interesting and most researched topic. Bandwidth and delay constraints are quality of service requirements which are required. And for the different QoS based applications of WSNs raise substantial challenges. Energy consumption is also a prominent and critical issue faced by wireless sensor networks. When the sensors communicate with each other the maximum amount of energy is consumed. In order to develop the lifetime of the network, energy should be used in an efficient manner therefore, we need energy efficient routing mechanisms. The well-known low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) that is Cluster-based routing techniques is used to achieve scalable solutions and extend the network lifetime until the last node dies (LND).
