Fixing Broken Link in Linked Data (LOD) from Source Point and Destination Point

Abstract

The advent of the Linked Open Data (LOD) initiative gave birth to a variety of open knowledge bases freely accessible on the web. The LOD activity has propelled various establishments to distribute their information on the web and to interlink them with those of other information sources. Since LOD sources are liable to change, interfaces between resources can break and prompt preparing mistakes in applications that expend linked data. The present practice is to overlook this issue and leave it to the applications what to do when broken connections are identified. In this way, the LOD information sources ought to give the most noteworthy conceivable level of connection honesty so as to assuage applications from this issue. As a possible solution, instead of leaving burden to the consuming application, content based similar links can be suggested when broken link is detected. We have handled broken links in both source and destination point. For destination point, model based similar links are suggested using Support Vector Machine (SVM) and in source point, similar links are suggested using “Point-To" and “Point-From" approach.
