Abstract

Abstract

In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), one of the major concerning issue of sensor nodes (SNs) is the limitation of power source (battery), which is due to their deployment in isolated environments and locations where it is not easily replaced. Hence, energy efficient routing protocols are important requirement to enhance the lifetime of network. Here, in this paper, various cluster based energy efficient routing protocols (LEACH, SEP, ESEP and DEEC) are discussed and their performance evaluation is done.
