A Survey on Trust and Security by using MD5 in Mobile Ad Hoc Network
Abstract
Abstract
Mobility Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a self-organizing wireless network for mobility devices. It does not require any fixed infrastructure to be configured which makes it more suitable to be used in environments that require on-the-fly setup. Trust can be implemented in various ways such as reputation, subjective logic from opinion of needs etc. as there is no particular definition of trust. In this network, all networking functions such as routing, and packet forwarding are performed by nodes themselves in a self-organizing manner. MD5 is simple to implement and provides a "fingerprint" or message digest of a message of arbitrary length.
Keywords: MANET, routing protocol, trust, MD5
