Abstract

Vehicular ad hoc network is a rising field of research in advanced correspondence and network. It is a sub type of wireless ad hoc network in which there is no central authority to manage the nodes. It is wirelessly communicates which make them vulnerable to attacks like DoS Attack essentially hinders the services and users are not ready to utilize the administrations. In presented work, Malicious and Irrelevant Packet Detection Algorithm malicious node detect on the basis of node velocity we calculate the speed of vehicles and how frequent a vehicles change its speed, now after speed calculation we check behavior of vehicles so that we can recognize the true malicious nodes in network scenario. A current paper they used Malicious and Irrelevant Packet Detection Algorithm for detecting Malicious vehicles host  based on node speed and the frequency of packets  host depend on  speed. Basically vehicles move with speed which isn't efficient recognize malicious vehicles node. In our work,  we  compute the speed of vehicles and check the conduct of vehicles so that we can recognize malicious vehicle node at that point applying rely function to detect malicious .In our results, we improved packet delivery ratio, routing overhead and throughput of the network.
