Software Engineering Research Productivity and Its Visibility

Tawfeeq Nazir

Abstract

This study is tracing the growth and impact of Software Engineering research productivity in India. The study identifies the growth of publication and pattern of citations. The journal explored that progressive inclination in the no. of publications and citations over the years. Total of 119 publications have been published during time span of 7 years (i.e. from year 2008–2014). Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of publication is 49.89%. The authors have a preference to work in alliance at various levels, which evidently signifies that they are well aware of the benefits working in collaboration that enable the exchange of knowledge and ideas among researchers leading to qualitative research.

Keywords: Research, software, India, self-citation, citation, collaboration
