Assessment of Components Using CBSE Metrics

Abstract


Component based Software Engineering (CBSE) is based on reusability of components approach. There are several metrics based on CBSE which are used by different researchers for estimating reliability. In this paper, an attempt has been made for the evaluation of few CBSE metrics such as; Component Interaction Density (CID), Overhead ratio, Component Outgoing Interaction Density (COID), and Component Average Interaction Density (CAID). The evolution of metrics helps researcher to estimate CBSE reliability in different soft computing techniques.
