E-Tailing: Security and Privacy Issues in India

In India, electronic retailing signifies small portion but holds enormous business potential with the help of cumulative usage of internet, smartphones, private equity investors, cash-on-delivery (COD), growing working class, lack of organized retailers, easy online payments, changing demographic lifestyles are the main factors motivating the electronic retailing in India. Online shopping site will store the customers’ data like credit card details, bank account information, and personal data, without having proper security measures at place these sites are at high risk of misplacing/losing customers’ data. In this paper we will discuss security, privacy associated problems to e-commerce and their solutions.
