Abstract

Abstract: Paper presents a battery health monitoring system based on internet of things (IoT) model using ORP (Orchestration of Robotic Platform) platform. The proposed system periodically monitors the battery’s temperature and terminal voltage. The State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH) is estimated using modified extended-coulomb-counting method. A local robotic-server is designed for collecting, storing and analyzing the data. The robotic-server sends alerts messages to Robotic Electric Vehicle (REV), according to the criticality of the readings. The REV uses these messages to prevent overheating of battery and to improve the lifecycle of battery.
