The shadows are caused as a result of the robust illumination variation in a picture are determined because it causes numerous issues in computer vision algorithms. Tracking, Scene analysis and visual perception are all samples of the issues thus for this purpose there's a requirement for shadow detection and removal from pictures. The detection of shadows is completed using the lab color space. Shadow region is detected by computing the mean intensities during this technique. The shadow removal method is completed using the YCbCr technique. During this technique the removal of shadows is completed by combining 2 ways like the additive method and also the basic light-weight model.
