Abstract
The world is moving in the direction of digitalization. So, everything is now converted into smart. How foundries and aliened technology can be unaffected by this fast-changing world? Recently, the solution that is proposed almost anytime is the “Internet of Things” (IoT). The big question is how can we utilize these new technologies within the foundry industry and what are its benefits along with challenges in current scenario. This paper deals with introduction of Foundry 4.0, necessary requirements to achieve with its advantages and challenges in the global context.
Keywords: Foundry 4.0, IOT, digitalization
